Yesterday Tom and Steve were the featured guests on the “Lady Liberty is VERY Pissed” Podcast. “VERY” is an acronym for Voting Rights, Equal Rights, Reproductive Rights, and an emphatic Yes at the close. LLiVP was founded by four exceptional leaders in these fields:
· Sherrye Henry was the first woman in America to broadcast television editorials, became the host of “Woman!” for WCBS-TV, and authored The Deep Divide: Why American Women Resist Equality (MacMillan, 1994).
· Gloria Feldt is an acclaimed expert on women, power, and leadership with frontline leadership experience, a bestselling author, and in-demand keynote speaker, and was president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
· Carol Jenkins is an advocate for human, civil and women’s rights, an award-winning author and Emmy-winning former television journalist and an Emmy winning anchor and correspondent for WNBC TV in New York for nearly 25 years.
· Dr. Betty Spence has been an advocate for women’s advancement in the private and public sectors for 30 years. An expert on women in leadership, she wrote the top-selling book Be Your Own Mentor.
Tom and Steve were invited on the podcast to provide the latest “snapshot” on the Mid-terms, and to offer perspective on the issues facing our democracy today.
