My Favorite Zings...Song Parody (October 25, 2012)

I’m delighted to post my very first “guest song parody,” as Fran chimes in with her inspired send-up of Obama’s reflections after Debate Three, with, as she puts it, her “sincere apologies to Rodgers and Hammerstein.”  Naturally, she calls it “My Favorite Zings”…

Horses and bayonets, Bin Laden's conge,
Closure for Peyton, no sound bites today,
Safety, not peace, a goal worthy of kings,
These are a few of my favorite zings!

"Air bushing hist'ry" while industry failed,
Get bankrupted first, and then maybe get bailed,
Just 'cause Mitt's not the devil, doesn't mean he's got wings!
These are a few of my favorite zings!

By Mitt's own admission, he's a Son of...Detroit,
Could anyone, anywhere be more maladroit?
I'm more presidential!  I can really DO things!
That's why these are a few of my favorite zings!

When Mitt stumbles,
When he backtracks,
When his smile's like wood,
He simply remembers my favorite zings,
And then he don't feel so good!
